There has always been some of the characters inspired me to change or effected me so deeply that I needed to give some time until I play another game. And it's probably Angel Beats' main character Yuzuru Otonashi. I don't want to spoil it for anybody so ifykyk. Btw, anime is recommended. Game is not different than anime.

it would be hard for me to choose only one favorite video game character for this; i've been playing games for most of my life, so there are lots of video game stories and characters that have had a personal impact on me, but Sonic and Shadow were my childhood heroes, so if i had to choose one, then i guess those two

Master Chief. He's got a level head, he never gives up, and he always finishes the fight. >>646 Angel Beats is pretty good, I remember it having an impact on me over a decade ago. It's funny you mention it now, I just started re-watching it for old times sake.
